Our area is rich on great cultural institutions. Some operate all year round, others provide summer programs only. During those summer months, our peninsula sees a large crowd of both, owners of second homes here in Maine, and tourists who are attracted by the beauty of our coast. During the winter months, however, the population on our peninsula and on Deer Isle shrinks considerably.

        Just like the Blue Hill Concert Association, the other organizations also strive for excellence, whether by showing rare or very special movies, providing a platform for challenging discussions with top executives or career diplomats, or workshops for artists.

        To make sure, people are well informed about the diverse attractions other places have to offer, Blue Hill Concert Association invites a different organization each time, to present itself in the Jonathan Fisher Hall in the basement of the First Congregational Church, the venue for our concerts. These organizations in return include our advertisements in their programs, a welcome publicity for our concerts.
